At the
heart of this model is Performax’s self-cooling drum. The 5" x
16" extruded aluminum, precision machined and balanced drum
operates at 1700 RPM. The continuous duty motor offers the advantages of
heavier use for longer periods of time. It is especially helpful for
abrasive planing. Performax’s "no-give" power feed conveyor
is an integral part of the 16-32®
PLUS.
The durable, thin abrasive belt and the reinforced steel bed provides a
rigid surface to precisely sand stock to within .010" uniform
thickness.

The 16-32 PLUS includes
tension rollers mounted next to the drum for sanding small or thin stock
automatically without a press-back application or special jigs. Stock as
short as 2 1/4" and as thin as 1/16" can be sanded hands-free.
A new spinning height adjustment handle allows a tight grip and the
ability to make radical height changes quickly, while also allowing
minute adjustments for extremely precise sanding thickness control.
A variety of abrasive grits and an infinitely-variable feed rate of
0-10 feet per minute will surface, dimension, and finish sand. |
